Release: Original Soundtrack for the PS5, XBox and PC video game ”Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy”
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a prequel spin-off that shifts the series’ focus toward ancient mythology and a heavy Mediterranean influence.
For Resonance, renowned composer Olivier Derivière developed a distinctive score rooted in the sounds and language of Cyprus, blending cinematic composition with traditional instrumentation and Greek-Cypriot vocal performance.
As part of the soundtrack, Derivière collaborated with The Amalgamation Choir, an all-female ensemble of 20 Greek-Cypriot vocalists led by Vasiliki Anastasiou. His lyrical themes, originally written in French, were translated into Cypriot Greek, giving the vocal performances a strong connection to the game’s setting and emotional world.
Hot Soap Studios recorded The Amalgamation Choir for part of the soundtrack, capturing the ensemble’s vocal performances as part of Derivière’s score.
The wider soundtrack combines these voices with traditional instruments including the yaylı tambur, rebab, carnyx and bouzouki, creating a musical identity that draws deeply from the cultural landscape surrounding the story.

The Nābu Pēra music project is a Cypriot trio from Nicosia that fuses traditional and modern elements to create a unique sound. Formed by Savvas Thoma (bendir, vocals), Natasa Hadjiandreou (vibraphone, percussion), and Demetris Yiasemides (flute, sylphyo, electronics), their mission is to redefine how we perceive everyday soundscapes. Their debut album, Soundscapes of Nicosia, releases on October 10, 2025 through the Italian label Zero Nove Nove, with global digital distribution and physical copies available in several European countries.
The album transforms the auditory identity of Nicosia—Europe’s last divided capital—into music. Drawing inspiration from the city’s geopolitical complexity and cultural intersections, Nābu Pēra blends ambient flutes, polyrhythmic percussion, electronic textures, and evocative vocals. Urban sounds—footsteps, voices, electrical hums—are reimagined as musical material, encouraging listeners to slow down and reconnect with their environment.
This world music project integrates contemporary classical, improvisation, Mediterranean traditions, and electronic elements into a layered, immersive experience. Recorded at Hot Soap Studio in Larnaca, the album reflects deep research and collaboration. Rather than merely sampling the city, Nābu Pēra listens, deciphers, and reinvents its sound, offering a new way to experience both music and place.

About Alexis Kasinos:
Alexis Kasinos is a jazz guitarist and composer based in Cyprus. He began studying piano and guitar at a young age, later earning his BMus and MMus in jazz guitar from Codarts Conservatory (cum laude, 2015) and Amsterdam Conservatory (2017). During his studies in the Netherlands, he studied under leading jazz figures such as Peter Bernstein, Jesse Van Ruller, Martijn van Iterson, Reinier Baas, and Gilad Hekselman. He has performed across a wide range of ensembles — from trios to big bands — and taken part in major festivals including Windcraft Festival, Paradise Jazz Festival, Jazz & World Music Showcase, Fengaros Festival, and more. A notable highlight of his career was a collaborative tour with American pianist David Garfield.
“Parallel Paths” marks Kasinos’s second release as a bandleader, showcasing his evolution as both a composer and improviser within the contemporary jazz idiom.

“Going Away” by Pinwheel Valley is a slow-burning, gut-wrenching, soul-surrendering kind of indie song. Co-written with Berlin-based guitarist and composer Tal Arditi, it’s not some overproduced radio bait. It’s vulnerable and real.
The song moves like a spiritual journey, starting in the dark, tangled corners of self-doubt and societal pressure, then gradually moving toward something softer, freer, more open. Arditi’s guitar work ripples with warmth and precision, while Qais’s voice carries a fragile strength that sounds like it’s lived a thousand lifetimes. Together, they build a soundscape that’s cinematic without being over-the-top, intimate without feeling small.
“Going Away” is about letting go, not just of someone else, but of everything you thought you had to be. It’s about peeling back the noise, the ego, the weight of performance, and finding something quieter and truer underneath.

Hailing from Cyprus’s divided capital Nicosia, this newly-born project led by Antonis Antoniou – founder of award-winning bands Monsieur Doumani and Trio Tekke – brings a fresh air of Eastern Mediterranean psychedelia, rock and blues.
A dynamic offbeat groove emitted from the tribal-like drumming and the fierce bass clarinet riffs produces a grimy trance-like reverie.
The result is a fuzzy urban soundscape of synth textures and dubby electronics, 70s psych organ allusions, growling reed utterances and microtonal Anatolian melodic spices.
Their debut album has been released September 2024 via Glitterbeat Records.
