“Nous jai Karkia” means “Mind and Heart” in the Cypriot dialect. The oud represents the mind and the lyra the heart, creating a dialogue about inner conflict and balance. Written after returning to Cyprus following 11 years abroad, it blends my neoclassical piano writing with two instruments rooted in my homeland.
